Where is First Baptist Church Milledgeville, and how do I get there?

FBC Milledgeville is located at 330 S. Liberty St., Milledgeville, GA 31061. Our downtown location is central to Milledgeville and the surrounding area and can be easily reached from Hwy 441, Hwy 22, and Hwy 49. We are within walking distance from Georgia College & State University and Georgia Military College.

    Where can we park?

We have a number of designated Guest Parking spaces waiting for you directly in front of the church.

    Describe a typical worship service.

Our Sunday morning worship service combines hymns, prayer, teaching, and fellowship with the intent of praising God and intentionally gathering the body of Christ in His name. Our Sunday morning service begins at 11:00 AM and is typically an hour in length.

Where will my children go during Sunday School and worship services?

On Sunday mornings, Sunday School classes and nursery services are available beginning at 9:45 AM, and nursery service continues through the 11 AM worship services. Children participate in the first fifteen to twenty minutes of the 11 AM worship service, and then depart for a children’s sermon. The nursery and children’s Sunday School classrooms are located on the second floor along the hallway behind the sanctuary (exit through the doors on either side of the front of the sanctuary).

Additional children’s activities are available on Wednesday evenings during our prayer and Bible study time. Our heart’s desire is to be intentional in training children up in the love and truth of Christ, and all our children’s activities are structured to teach them this love whether through direct lesson or simply by spending time with them.

What security measures are in place for the children?

All our childcare workers have passed a background check. Parents are given a beeper so they can be contacted quietly by our workers should they be needed.

    What should I wear?

Come as you are. Some choose to wear Sunday best while others worship in jeans. Christ invites you as you are, and we do as well.

As a guest, will I be expected to give to the church?

No, unless you want to. Our worship and ministry are our gifts to you, made possible by the faithful giving of our members and regular attendees.
